HOW IS MONTESSORI DIFFERENT?Kensington Montessori uses the Montessori Method of scientific pedagogy to ensure your child gets exactly what they need. The Montessori Method is about helping our children develop a love for learning, build healthy habits and social skills for life. We want them to learn how to learn, not just how to remember facts and figures. The environment is continuously prepared and contains scientifically designed, auto-educative materials that are hands-on and provide opportunities for purposeful activity. The child is the focus of their educational opportunities, benefitting from an individualised curriculum and a multi-age environment. The Montessori approach offers much more value than a standard curriculum. Your child will be exposed to a diverse range of experiences like music & movement, art & craft, cooking lessons, sustainability, culture, and nature study so they may become aware that the world is diverse and much larger than they first imagined. Our strong Community Links program will allow children to engage with people of varying ages and backgrounds within the community, teaching them skills such as empathy and consideration.
